Malaysia’s first medical supplies vending machine — MEDRAC, launched in Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (PPUKM) by fourth quarter of 2018. Featuring products such compression stockings, wound care, stoma bag, LMA, spirometer and many more. It was designed to enable the patients to get their medical supplies easier, faster, and at any time.
The price range starts from RM5 to RM2200, payment can be made through cash, debit or credit card. So far, 5 units of Vending Machine in PPUKM, each machine’s filled with different medical supplies in 5 different departments such Surgical, Orthopedic, Gynecology, Operation Theatre, and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). The machine can accessed for 24/7 which can help the patient to get their medical supplies even during long holiday weekend and immediately. This automated pharmacy retailing is truly convenient for patients, families, medical officers, and nurses.
